TCTGTACCACGGCAGCTCCCCCTCAAGTTTCAAATGCUAGTCTG

  1. We study about proteins, natural selection, apes, and fossils in school.

I think you had a little problem with your stop codon. The start codon and sentence itself, however were perfect.

  2. You are correct. I made a mistake with the stop codon, and noticed it when you responded. I put the start codon at the end. Thanks.

  3. Good catch on the error. Also, there shouldn't be any uracils (U) in your DNA. They are only in RNA.

    DNA: TCTGTACCACGGCAGCTCCCCCTCAAGTTTCAAATGCUAGTCTG
    RNA: AGACAUGGUGCCGUCGAGGGGGAGUUCAAAGUUUACGAUCAGAC Stop?
Triplet: GUG CCG UCG AGG GGG AGU UCA AAG UUU ACG AUC AGA C
Sentence: We study about proteins, natural selection, ape(s), and fossil(s) in school book class. ??

  4. Ohhhh...I thought the triplet UAG at the end of the DNA strand was the stop codon (a mistake when you didn't exchange Thymine for Uracil) and the last four were just random bases. I see now that I skipped a triplet and missed the word book.
